What Working Together Really Feels Like: A Relaxed Client Journey

Most people don’t book brand photography because they want more photos.
They book because something is shifting. Perhaps they are growing or maybe refining.
They want to feel clearer, more visible, more aligned.

So what does working together actually feel like?
Here is a gentle walkthrough.

Step One: The Enquiry and Discovery Call

Clients arrive in different ways. Sometimes through networking, sometimes through social media and sometimes because they have quietly been watching for a while.

Often they are unsure whether it’s the right time, or even if photos are what they need.

We begin with a discovery call.

This is where I listen.

We talk about:
• Who you are becoming
• What is working in your marketing
• What feels stuck
• What you want your photos to communicate

I will suggest the packages that fit and usually give two clear options.
Personal. Considered. Not overwhelming. Not pressured.

Step Two: Reflection and Homework

After booking, there is thoughtful preparation.

You reflect on:
• Your values
• Your location
• How props support your message
• What you wear and why
• The story of your business so far

Some clients find this deep work easy while others find it more stretching. If you feel stuck, we talk again.

Step Three: Focused Support Call

Next, we have a call shaped around something that has come up for the client.

It may focus on marketing clarity, brand positioning, confidence or practical next steps

We work with whatever matters most to you.

Step Four: The Visual Activity

You find ten images that resonate, usually from people in similar roles to you.
You rename them according to what speaks to you.

Not to copy, but to notice. You begin to see what feels like you and what doesn’t.

Step Five: Design Your Shoot

This is where it becomes real.
The shoot begins to feel tangible. Within reach.

Together we map the shoot. Photo by photo.

You know exactly what we are creating because nothing is left vague.

One client shared: “I loved the reasoning behind the photos and choosing images to re-create. It meant I wasn’t awkwardly posing because I knew roughly how to stand.”

This planning stage is what allows the shoot to feel relaxed. You are prepared and feel supported. By the time we reach this point, we already know each other and there is warmth.

Step Six: The Shoot Itself

When the day arrives, there are no surprises. You know what we are creating and why.

Clients often say: “I felt connected to you. I liked your calm style and easy step-by-step approach. There was not too much information in one go.”

You are not performing. You are simply being. And that presence is woven into your photos.

Step Seven: Gallery Delivery

On the day, or shortly after, you’ll be invited to view your gallery and select your favourite images according to your package.

Your chosen photos are lightly edited and delivered within two days.

There is no long waiting. You can begin using them straight away.

Step Eight: Ongoing Support

The journey doesn’t end at delivery.

As you begin using your photos and stepping more visibly into your work, I stay in touch. I check in and offer guidance as you refine and grow.

One client said, “It felt like Rachel was on my side, cheering me on and wanting the photos to show me at my most authentic.”

That support doesn’t stop once the images are delivered

Because visibility is not a one day event.
It is something you step into over time.

If this way of working feels like the kind of support you have been looking for, you are welcome to get in touch. Share a little about your business and what you are stepping into next and we’ll begin there.
